The Pastor

Timothy Darling is the pastor of Norma Mennonite Church in New Jersey. Tim is a native of a northern Detroit Suburb. As a young teenager, the family moved to North Carolina, explaining both Tim’s lack of a southern accent and his occasional slip into one. After school four years were spent in the US Navy, from there to Liberty University for college. Tim was married to Dawn in June of 1991 in Lancaster, PA. He worked as an actor at Sight and Sound Entertainment Center till fire destroyed the theater. Lancaster Bible College Graduate School is where he earned his MA in Bible (Thesis: A Soteriology of the OT Moabites … yes, it is as dry as it sounds). In 2000, Tim and Dawn came to Norma, NJ, where we have been ministering ever since. In 2009, Tim was blessed with the additional honor and responsibility of being named as one of the Bishops for the Philadelphia / New Jersey district.

I like reading, Bible study, collecting books, travel, Science Fiction, crime drama, and classical and ambient music. Dawn and I have one cat, musically dubbed Trio - but she is one cat, not three.
